A two-day festival of international animation taking place at the Latest Music Bar in Brighton. It takes place on the weekend of the 15/16th of April. The vision of the festival is that it embraces international partnerships and encompasses a global perspective. In addition, it provides an accessible place for people to learn about the medium.
Each day is split into six two-hour sessions each with either one large film or a dozen smaller shorts. Each session is themed. It looks like a bit of everything from cartoons and stop motion to painting and crazy sh!t. All films are subtitled and a BSL interpreter will be on hand.
There are also special showcases for Barry Purves and Joanna Quinn. Barry is an OSCAR and BAFTA nominated Animator and Director, passionate about the art of film-making. As well as his film work, he directs and designs for theatre and writes about, teaches and promotes the art of animation. Joanna is an award-winning film director and animator.
You may have to be quick as the Latest Music Bar is small and there aren’t many tickets per session.
