Running from the 7th to the 13th of October at the Fishing Quarter Gallery, The Space Between is an exhibition of the work of two artists, Benna McCartney and Kate Chapman.
An art exhibition inviting conversation to explore the often uncomfortable phase of personal growth we tend to avoid, in pursuit of resolution. It is within this space that profound connection and healing reside, alongside the potential for creativity to emerge with new perspective and vision.
This exhibition is a collaboration between Benna McCartney and Kate Chapman, who met in 2023 through mutual friend Wendy Pye. Their connection, emerging from a period of deep healing, led to a shared understanding and creative synergy.
Through photography, drawing, and collage, Benna and Kate channel their experiences into their art, emphasising how connection to self and nature contribute to their process.
This exhibition invites artists and viewers to explore The Space Between. This is the often uncomfortable phase we tend to bypass when dealing with difficult emotional issues in favour of reaching ‘the end.’. Yet, this space also represents the quiet place where our true essence resides.
