Do you want to hear something scary? It is only about three months until Christmas. While that sinks in, it is also a month until Brighton Horrorfest 2024. Taking place mostly at the Yellow Book on London Road, it is the annual festival of all things spooky. The Yellow Book is a fitting venue as it takes it name from an old Victorian magazine on the occult and esoteric.
The lineup looks like a fine selection of music with The Witchcraft and Vagrancy Act, games, comedy and Corin Rhys Jones‘ scary stories. While some of it is only horror-adjacent, most of the shows I have seen in the past have been well worth the low admission fee. It is put on by Sweet Venues who do lots of things in the Brighton Fringe as well. Maybe they could do a Christmas festival as well?
