Are you a budding filmmaker or someone who dabbles a bit for a hobby? If so, you will be interested in the 48-Hour Film Project 2024. It’s an event where, over the course of a weekend, you write, film, edit and screen your very own film. The organizers run these events all over the world and this is the second time in Brighton. It costs £120 per team to take part and runs from the 12th to 14th July 2024.
To stop you from preparing a film in advance, the first part of the filming procedure is randomly drawing a genre. This could be anything from a darkly comic climate movie to a romantic sports film. You must also include a prop, a line of dialogue and a character provided by the judges. The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges and their film will be screened at various indie film festivals.
Last year the winner was “Encounter” by Whatabout Films. You can watch it below.
